About Seventh-day Adventists

The Seventh-day Adventist Church is a mainstream Protestant denomination with over 23 million members worldwide, including more than one million in North America. We seek to enhance the quality of life for people everywhere and to share the hopeful news that Jesus is coming again soon.

Adventists believe in the Trinity—one God in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus, the Son, came to earth as a baby in Bethlehem, lived a sinless life in perfect obedience to the Father’s will, and made salvation possible for all. He was crucified for the sins of the world, rose from the dead on the third day, and secured victory for humanity.

After His resurrection, Jesus returned to heaven and sent the Holy Spirit to be our Comforter and Counselor. He has promised to return to earth a second time to complete His plan of salvation and take His people home to heaven. Seventh-day Adventists eagerly look forward to that glorious day.

We believe God cares deeply about every aspect of human life. The way we live, eat, speak, think, treat one another, and care for the world around us are all part of His plan. Our families, children, work, talents, money, and time matter to Him.
